Getting RSS Feeds for ACTC News
The ACTC News site supports RSS feeds so you can have the news delivered right to your favorite home page without the need to keep checking the ACTC website. RSS is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. To activate the feed for the ACTC News site do the following.
1) Go to the ACTC website.
2) Look in the center of the page for ACTC News
3) Right below the ACTC News logo click on the button that says “RSS Posts”
4) Your browser will now take you to a page where you select which RSS reader to use. I use My Yahoo, which is where my browser’s home page is set for.
5) Click the “Subscribe Now” button (it may look different depending on your browser setup)
6) Now go to your home page and set the options for viewing that RSS feed. This is what it looks like if I select to show the latest 5 items and include both headlines and a short summary.
It may take up to 30 minutes between when something is posted on ACTC News and when it shows up on your browser’s home page. That is all it takes. If this too complicated for you to understand don’t hesitate to ask me for help.
