Welcome to ACTC 2025, a new year with fun rides and events. We have an excellent group of dedicated members guiding ACTC, including the always-innovative staff of Tierra Bella, Sierra to the Sea, the Academy, ride leaders, events volunteers, behind-the-scenes staff, and the ACTC Board with old and new faces.

I am returning for a 10th year and couldn’t be more excited to lead ACTC once more into our 49th year of existence. Many friends have asked why I keep coming back. Of course there are challenges and headwinds we will be facing together but I always think back to this beautiful Nanci Griffith song:

This Old Town

And when my children’s children ask me
Why I didn’t go
I’ll say—the heart of any town
Is the people that you’ve known
And they’ll always call you home

And this old town was built by hand
In the dustbowl of the motherland
There must be rock beneath the sand
I’ll be damned—this town still stands

All my ACTC friends who came before me, many helping us today, and many more I have yet to meet, are great reasons to return. ACTC was built by hand and will, for a long long time, stand!
